So this is love....

So this is love... and its crazy to think I've never fully experienced it until this moment in life. I have experienced love of family, or friendship, I have felt fleeting moments of love with strangers.. But this.. like real raw love.. yea, I've never had that before. I don't even think I understood that fully until recently in these last few whirlwind months. My husband and I got married July 14, 2018 and it was beautiful. He wove our bough from trees he cut down and lined our tent with willow branches from favorite childhood climbing limbs. We were enveloped with love that day.

Marriage is a kind of weird transcendence with another person. As much as you know you love someone when you say the big "I do" I don't think you can compare to what comes after. Everyday, you are surprised with the amount your love grows, how much you grow together, fall together, and push through, together.... Maybe us more than others, but probably not, its all tough , and its all work, but its all worth it.

When Andrew and I were together for almost a year, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, so you can say that made our road a little harder. A lot of hospital trips , sick days, and a life he didn't sign up for. But he took it on with gratitude and grace and truly strives everyday to make life better for us.

One strange symptom of my disease is that it kind of steals time from me. Moments either last forever or they pass by incredibly fast, more-so if I am overwhelmed. My wedding day was the typical brides story of it went by so fast I barely remember most of it only very small bits and pieces.. Having M.S. makes me anxious a lot of times of future symptoms, I tend to borrow my worries from another day. My husband always recognizes these worries and does anything he can to ease my mind and spirit.

Two weeks after our wedding, we recreated it, with just us two. I could not have married a more magical, amazing, caring human. I literally never knew what real love was. I remember these few moments more than our whole wedding day. We spent time getting ourselves dressed back up in our clothes. I wore the crown I decided not to wear the day of. We had a silent re-do, just for us , and I could not be more thankful for that time with my husband.
