You make it easy lovin up on you.
I met Ian and Alyssa a little over a year ago when their daughter Celina was born. I could tell from that session how Ian felt for Alyssa and his daughter and it wouldn't be long until we would be here doing an engagement session.
I always LOVE when clients have spots that are special and have a connection to them. So needless to say I was more than elated to accompany them to a place they used to take date walks throughout Alyssa's pregnancy. I knew when the said it was on the Salmon River I was in for a real treat. One great thing about New York is all the hidden gems sprinkled everywhere.
We had a lot of rain recently so we had to kinda play by ear this session. Catching this early morning sun warming the river ended up just being the perfect morning. I am almost ready to say I favor this early light over golden hour, the dimension it brings is totally different.
I am probably the most awkward photographer you will ever meet. Which I think is how I can get people to relax with me. In my sessions , especially my love based sessions. I always do a little "interview" to get more raw emotions.. sometimes I make you sniff each other, a lot of times we dance, and there's ALWAYS a lot of fake laughing that leads to the realest laughs you can get. I try to make this as a mini date for my clients . Sometime it's the only time your not being tugged on by little ones. My aim is to make this memorable .. and when you look back on your images not only see the love you share with your partner but remember how much you laughed and had fun. For Alyssa and Ian they took it all in and killed it, awkward photographer and all.
Ian says that one of his favorite things about them being together is how much fun they have, and how much they laugh together. . Alyssa is obsessed with the office so its no secret she has a good sense of humor. She insisted they play in the leaves before we were done and it was hilarious. They are both incredibly hardworking and just recently got their own home. I think that's a sign you found your person. When your hard work pays off and blessings come to fruition, and without that person it wouldn't have happened. I am more than honored to be able to capture your big day!!
